Supporting Breast Cancer Research

The staff and families of Airlie Women’s Clinic will be walking in the Mother’s Day Classic on 14th May, 2017.

The Mother’s Day Classic is the largest community fundraising event for breast cancer research in Australia. It involves thousands of women, men, girls and boys of all ages and takes place around the country on Mother’s Day each year.  .Funds raised are donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that invests in word-class research into better prevention and treatment of breast cancer. Sadly, at Airlie Women’s Clinic we are diagnosing breast cancer at an alarming rate.  It is estimated that the risk of a female being diagnosed with breast cancer is 1 in 8, with over 17,000 new cases in Australia each year.
